Miss Nina Sailing
We started looking for the perfect boat to offer charters here on Penobscot Bay. We searched long and hard, until one day Miss Nina (formerly One More Hug) came across our radar. She was the one we were looking for! We decided on Miss Nina for her beauty, comfort and safety. Miss Nina has a spectacular cockpit, a warm and roomy pilothouse to escape a chill that may arise in the air, or offer some relief from the sun. The enclosure is tall and all windows, so you never miss out on what’s happening outside. Miss Nina is a motorsailor and any combination of motoring and sailing may take place during our cruise. We offer a variety of sailing packages aboard Miss Nina. Miss Nina is a 61’ wooden pilothouse ketch, designed by Phil Bolger and built at the legendary Story Shipyard in Essex Massachusetts. She has a very comfortable open seating area in the stern, and a large airy pilothouse with excellent visibility for a warm comfortable escape from the occasionally inhospitable Maine weather. It is an ideal place to escape the sun, eat a meal or congregate and relax around the large teak dinette. Her wide open foredeck is a great place to sunbathe, or when the wind pipes up, to catch a little salt spray. Below deck is a large open galley with a second dinette, a soapstone woodstove, settee area, and usually some kind of exquisite food in preparation.
