Lobsters are just one of our many items to choose from. We have a full menu including great choices from our children's and vegetarian menu.

The Belfast Co-op opened as a storefront business in 1976. With nearly 3,000 member owners, we remain Maine's oldest and largest food co-op.

The Belfast Co-op is a member-owned store since 1976  offering healthy lifestyle choices for both members and non-members.  We support the regional economy by purchasing from many local farmers and producers.

The Belfast Co-op is a  community resource, known as the place to go for cooking classes, café-style meetings and the latest information. Ask any of our staff to learn more about a product or if you have a health or nutrition question.

Carrier's Mainely Lobster

Fans of fresh Maine seafood will have a new place to eat in Bucksport.  "I love lobsters," says Carrier, "I love what it's all about and I love the fishermen and the communities." He buys all his seafood from local fishermen. The lobsters go right from their traps and straight into this tank. "that's going to allow us to produce fresh lobster rolls, not packaged lobster rolls. Fresh crabmeat, fresh steamers, fresh everything and it all comes from Deer Isle-Stonington and Vinalhaven."
