About The Patience
A 72' replica of a classic late 19th century steam ferry, The Patience was built in Stonington, Maine in 1982. The large open air upper deck lets you enjoy the passing sights, or enjoy your trip in the enclosed heated area below with modern facilities. Enjoy a historic cruise.
Some narration of Belfast Bay's rich history will highlight most trips. Shipbuilding was once a large business in Belfast after its incorporation as a city in 1853. Hundreds of three, four and five masted schooners were produced with materials shipped down the Penobscot River from Bangor, the lumber capital of North America during the later 19th century.Perfect for charters and special trips
