Recently, when I was struggling with getting a contest out, I contacted Ken Kimball, our web guy at Links Online, who does all the cool stuff on our Web site. We're doing a Maine Lobsterboat Race Contest & I wanted to know how FACEBOOK fit into the marketing equation.
Ken referred me to Patricia Plourde of Honey Bee Marketing in Bangor & Director of Web Marketing at Thomas College. Patricia took a look at our contest and is providing guidance as we launch our contest.
Patricia has graciously offered to do a seminar on the Midcoast. On Tuesday, April 26th at 6:00 pm, we are hosting Facebook for Business seminar here at the Maine Coast Welcome Center. Since Patti has the MAINE COAST CAFE & Ice Cream OPEN, you can even get dinner! Have some of Red Barn's seafood stew.
So if you want to learn about Facebook for Your Business, come on over. The seminar is FREE but please register here, so we can keep track of head count.

My sister is a librarian. A lot of our travels get us to remote locations with interesting libraries, which I like to visit. Even Bear learned about Reader Dogs in SW Harbor.
I noticed this cool link to Maine book town locations on the Press Herald.
For Maine Books, here's Amazon's link to titles. It's lots of fun to search out Maine books and buy one when your here on vacation!
I asked Steve of the Belfast Free Library for his top 10 lists of Maine books and will post them soon!

Last fall, when I was struggling with getting a newsletter out, I contacted Ross Lasley, the Internet Educator, who I'd met at the Governor's Conference on Tourism. Ross offered practical, easy to understand, guidance on how I could get started. Ross has extensive experience with some excellent companies, like Discover New England, Johnny's Selected Seeds, & our friends the Red Barn. Ross is quite a Maine resource!
I took Ross's E-mail marketing seminar and am getting great response on my own newsletter. Ross has graciously offered to do the same seminar on the Midcoast. On Tuesday, April 5th at 5:30 pm, we are hosting his Email marketing seminar here at the Maine Coast Welcome Center. Since Patti has the MAINE COAST CAFE & Ice Cream OPEN, you can even get dinner! Have some of Red Barn's seafood stew.
So if you want to jump start your email marketing efforts, come on over. The seminar is FREE but please register here, so we can keep track of head count.
