As checked on Maine Photo Contest today in Google, I was pleasantly suprized to see we were there. #1 !
While this distinction is fleeting, as we can't compete with the big guys, it was fun to see.

Great, simple concept. From March 1 thru 10 Get a three course meal at local restaurants for $20.10 or $30.10 or $40.10
Add this to your marketing plans and let your customers know about it!

At the Governor's Conference on Tourism, the talk was packages as an incentive for hotel guests. How's this for attracting travelers with kids? We saw this at the Holiday Inn in Augusta. We'll being telling travelers with kids about this one.

At the Fireside Inn in Waterville, we saw this nice dispaly of Maine products in the lobby. It's like a mini-store to introduce guests to Maine maple products, jams, and some nice photos. While enjoying breakfast, it get folks into a Maine mood.
At the Comfort Inn in Bangor, a member of the staff has some real artistic talent, she painted this Americana winter scene on the entry door. Nice touch.
They also have a book case of children's books to keep the little ones occupied during their stay.

So we went to the Gov's Conference on Tourism and there was lots of talk about social interaction, pages vs profiles and lots of techno talk. I guess we heard that our business the Maine Coast Welcome Center, should have a PAGE instead of a PROFILE. So Patti created one, take a look, become a FAN:
