We Can Predict "Back to the Future" Print E-mail

We can predict the car from "Back to the Future" will be at the Maine Coast Welcome Center today September 7th !

Right on schedule, it appeared! Terry & Oli Holler from S. Carolina, drive this car as a fund raiser for the TeamFox Parkinsons effort.

So while they can travel in time, they wanted recommendations about where to stay and where to eat when they arrived, so Lori of the Boothbay Resort sent them our way. We got Terry & Oli lunch at Carrier's Mainely Lobster, room reservations in Bar Harbor, and dinner with Kathleen at Poor Boys!

Sent: Friday, September 03, 2010 9:03 AM from John T Kelly, Acadia National Park
Subject: Hurricane Earl Update - Acadia National Park Closures

Based on the latest information that we have received from the National Weather Center, Hurricane Earl will produce sustained winds in excess of 39 m.p.h. and a Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for our area.

As a precautionary measure, we will close Blackwoods, Seawall, and Duck Harbor (Isle au Haut) campgrounds today (Friday, September 3) at 5:00 p.m., and all campers will be required to vacate their sites.

The following road closures will be in effect at 9:00 p.m. today:
Park Loop Road from the Sand Beach Entrance Station to the paved entrance for Wildwood Stables.
South end of Schooner Head Road (also known as Great Head Road).
All park roads at Schoodic.
The Islesford Museum (Little Cranberry Island) will be closed on Saturday, September 4.

All park closures will remain in effect until we determine that conditions are safe.

Please take every opportunity to make visitors aware of the dangers of getting too close to high surf.

The "DelSantos" Family of Businesses Print E-mail

Tina and her staff have done a great job of running and starting Maine businesses. First the The Lookout Bar & Grill on Front Street has served locals and visitors alike for years. Next came the Belfast Bake Shop on Main Street, and now Delvino's Restaurant as well.
So how do we represent these businesses at the Maine Coast Welcome Center?
